Creativity isn't just a talent - it's a skill that can be strengthened with regular exercise, just like your body's muscles. But how can you train your creative muscles?

The solution is simple: idea sprints. I make it a habit to set a timer for a few minutes each day and write down 10 new ideas that excite me. They can be anything at all - travel destinations, fun activities, interesting projects, quirky inventions, the crazier the better. Don't filter yourself, just let the ideas flow.

Over time, this daily creative workout will stretch your imagination and make generating new ideas feel effortless. You'll build up the endurance to be inventive anytime, not just when inspiration randomly strikes.

Here are some prompts to get your idea sprints started:

  • What are 10 places in the world I’d love to see?

  • What are 10 activities I've never tried?

  • What are 10 ways I could improve my life?

So try a 10-minute, 10-idea sprint and get those creativity muscles burning!
The more you exercise them, the stronger they'll become.

Imagine how much more innovative you could be with stronger creative muscles. I'd love to help you build your creativity. If you’re interested in getting a daily creativity workout delivered to your inbox tell me in the comments below.
