Do I Have the Right Product For Them?
Do you have an idea for a new product but you aren’t sure if there is enough demand for this product? The technical term here is: Do you have a product-market fit?
The best way to measure the product-market fit is with a survey developed by Sean Ellis. It asks a number of questions, with the most important one being
“How disappointed would you be if you could no longer use this product?”
This question allows to determine how much of a fit your product is to the people that you currently target. You want to have at least 40% of “I would be very disappointed”. If more than 40% of them answered, they would be very disappointed if they could no longer use your product, that means you have found a great product-market fit and your target group sees value in the product you offer.
