Communication Hack 4 - How to Be Interesting
Last week, I explained how to make people trust us more.
Today, I’m going to show you how to become more interesting for them:
"You can make more friends in two months by becoming truly interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you." - ”Chatter” by Patrick King.
What does it mean?
Don’t try to impress others, don’t talk about yourself, don’t try to shine.
Just be interested in them, in their background, in their stories.
Ask more questions. Tell them how fascinated you are about their history.
"To be interesting, be interested." ― Dale Carnegie
After talking about themselves, they will surprisingly perceive you as the interesting person. My teenage life would have been so much easier had I known this back then.
Try it out!
PS: I’m adding regular exercises to this newsletter for the paying subscribers. There, you’ll learn the most powerful questions that go beyond the usual small talk, questions that uncover a lot about them. Thank you to all my supporters!
