Creativity is the solution to every single problem out there. There are no problems left that need a simple solution. But how can one become more creative? Tim Ferriss - the author of many bestsellers like The 4-Hour Workweek - describes creativity as the process seeking out and creating the absurd.

I think that there’s so much absurdity in life, and as adults, we’ve inculcated ourselves to be very serious. And I think that’s kryptonite for creativity.
That seriousness is largely responsible for why many young entrepreneurs, in particular, have such a difficult time thinking outside of the box and going against societal norms when it comes to identifying creative ways to approach a challenging problem.

So, next time someone asks you for a solution to a problem, start with some absurd ideas instead of giving them this one serious idea that you have. This approach will lead to much better, more creative results.
It’s such a game-changer.

PS: Short exercise:
Think about some great ideas on how to create a great new ice cream.
Now think about some absurd ideas on how to create a great new ice cream.
